Ruru Gallery
Our first visit on the third day was to Ruru Gallery. Ruru Gallery is a Contemporary Art Gallery and part of Ruang Rupa Jakarta. The gallery officially opened in 2008 to provide space for young visual artists, writers, and curators. There are 25 employees working at this gallery.
Art Jakarta Gardens
Art Jakarta Gardens is a hybrid art exhibition that combines indoor and outdoor presentations. This year, the exhibition returns for its second edition at the Plataran City Forest, Jakarta from February 7 to 12, 2023, with 22 galleries participating across two tents. In addition to the presentations by each gallery, the exhibition will feature art installations ‘The Light of Journey’ by FX Harsono and ‘Aquifer’ by Digital Nativ.
Artina . Sarinah
This gallery showcases contemporary artina art, the inaugural exhibition opened on level 6 at Sarinah, Thamrin, Jakarta. The exhibition adopts the theme of wastu/loka/kala (form/space/time), involving more than 27 individual artists and Collectives of the Homeland. This diverse array of artworks highlights the cultural diversity of the archipelago, open to the public from December 17th to February 19th, 2023.
